The opportunity
Programmed’s continued growth through acquisition created a complex finance environment. Multiple systems and onboarding practices existed across business units, increasing the need for stronger consistency, visibility and payment governance.
The accounts payable team processes payments in a fast paced environment, supporting both scheduled maintenance and urgent responsive work. With a large and diverse vendor base, ensuring accurate, compliant and secure payments is critical to maintaining service reliability.
While strong manual controls were already in place, Programmed identified an opportunity to further standardise processes and strengthen payment protection. The goal was to introduce a solution that would integrate seamlessly with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, while centralising vendor verification at the point of payment.
The solution
Eftsure was introduced early in Programmed’s ERP transformation to support its evolving finance ecosystem. The platform was first deployed across Australian legal entities and later extended to New Zealand.
Eftsure’s integration with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations is now embedded within Programmed’s accounts payable workflows. Vendor details are verified in real time at the point of payment, reducing reliance on manual checks and lowering exposure to error and fraud.
The integration removes duplicate data entry and manual validation steps while strengthening auditability and compliance. Its low friction implementation and fast time to value allowed Programmed to avoid lengthy testing cycles or operational disruption.
