This week marks an important step forward for Eftsure.
With Relish officially joining Eftsure, we're bringing together two businesses that have been solving closely connected problems in finance. In doing so, we're accelerating our ambition to become the global leader in payment integrity, from onboarding to payment.
For years, Eftsure has focused on a critical question: Are you paying the right payee? We've built our approach around the belief that trust can't depend on a single check, and verification needs to be continuous at every step. In isolation, any individual control can fail. That's why our verification process uses multiple independent layers to establish confidence in who a business is paying and where its money is going.
That principle is even more important as AI makes it easier to automate finance, improve productivity, and move faster. But AI is also making fraud attempts harder to detect and trusted communications easier to imitate.
As the need for confidence across the payment process continues to grow, CFOs are being asked to do more. They need to strengthen financial controls, all while improving cost discipline, accelerating growth, and transforming how finance operates.
Finance leaders are expected to deliver enterprise-wide savings through agentic workflows, identify and scale the use cases that create real value, and bring new digital capabilities into their teams. Meanwhile, they're also being asked to accelerate finance transformation without the luxury of unlimited technology budgets.
So how do you ensure stronger controls and trust, without adding more systems and complexity?
We believe the answer isn't another point solution. It's about uniting controls in a simpler yet stronger layer that works across the entire finance environment, helping teams reduce risk, remove manual work, and improve efficiency at the same time.
The problem is bigger than a single payment
Most finance environments have been built over time, system by system, and process by process.
Procurement might onboard the vendor. Accounts payable receives and processes the invoice and treasury prepares the payment, while payroll and disbursements have their own processes. Each team tends to use different systems, data, and controls.
Even though they're all responsible for the same thing (making sure the organisation's money moves correctly), oversight is often fragmented. Different payment controls sit within different teams, systems, and processes, with responsibilities divided by function.
That fragmentation is exactly where vulnerabilities emerge. Risk increases in the gaps between processes: during handovers, when information is collected or transferred, when data doesn't match across systems. Information can change or become inconsistent as it moves between systems, while duplicate invoices get processed and bank details change. Controls that exist at one step may not exist at another.
Adding another disconnected point solution doesn't solve that fragmentation. It adds to it.
Greater confidence in who you pay (and how much)
We believe finance teams need consistent controls and trusted information that can follow money across the business, wherever it moves. This is one of the reasons we're so excited about bringing Relish into Eftsure.
Relish brings new capabilities to our product suite, including vendor data validation, workflow automation and intelligent invoice processing. Together, we deepen our ability to answer the question, "Are we paying the right payee?" That now extends beyond businesses to the individuals you pay, not just vendors. Combined with Eftsure's new individual verification capabilities, Relish's employee and worker verification helps us apply that same principle more broadly.
But joining forces also allows us to extend that focus to another critical question, "Are we paying the right amount?" A payment can go to the right bank account and still be wrong. A duplicate invoice, incorrect amount or process error can result in money leaving the business when it shouldn't. It may not be fraud, but the impact still hits your bottom line.
By bringing vendor data, invoice intelligence, identity and payment verification closer together, we can give finance teams greater confidence throughout the process, from onboarding to approving the final payment. And we can do it while reducing manual work, rather than adding more of it.
One layer of trust across finance
Our ambition goes beyond accounts payable, vendor onboarding and fraud prevention. Businesses move money through procurement, AP, treasury, payroll, disbursements and many other workflows. The systems in those departments might be different, but the standard of trust shouldn't be.
That's why we're building Eftsure as an independent layer of payment integrity across the entire finance stack. We want to work with the systems finance teams already use, not force businesses into another closed ecosystem. That means continuing to expand our integrations and partnerships so that trusted information and controls are available wherever money is moving.
For CFOs, the goal is straightforward. Know who you're paying, know how much you're paying, and have confidence that the money should move at the right time.
Relish significantly expands what we can deliver against that vision. It also strengthens our presence in the US and brings exceptional technology, expertise, and partnerships into Eftsure. Together with the expansion we've already made across Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and Asia, we're building a truly global leading business around a problem every finance team shares.
Finance will continue to get faster, and AI will accelerate that change. Fraud will continue to evolve alongside it. Our job is to make sure trust and control keep pace, without adding unnecessary complexity.
That's the future we're building at Eftsure and, with Relish joining us, we're getting there much faster.
