Eftsure and Zone bring payment assurance directly onto ZoneProcure

Zone & Co, a leading ERP-native, AI-powered financial operations platform, today announced a partnership with Eftsure, the payment assurance layer for enterprise finance, to bring intelligent bank account verification into ZoneProcure.

The partnership gives finance teams greater confidence in payment data before money moves, helping them identify fraud risk earlier while reducing time spent manually validating bank and compliance details.

Payment fraud has turned a routine finance process into a high-stakes decision. In 2025, 76% of US organizations faced attempted or actual payments fraud, according to the Association for Financial Professionals. Eftsure's own 2026 research also found that 72% of business decision-makers feel more at risk of fraud than they did 12 months ago.†

For many accounts payable teams, the safeguard is still human intervention. Finance teams may call vendors directly to confirm banking details before approving vendor onboarding. That adds manual work to an already complex process, while one missed warning sign can carry a significant price tag. Once funds reach a fraudulent account, businesses can face significant financial losses with little opportunity to recover the money.

Through the partnership, Eftsure's verification engine will be incorporated into ZoneProcure as the front door for Zone's procure-to-pay solution, helping finance teams investigate bank account details against Eftsure's proprietary payment data before approving them. Rather than merely confirming that a bank account exists, Eftsure helps teams assess whether submitted details can be trusted or show indicators of fraudulent activity.

"Finance teams should not have to choose between moving quickly and protecting every dollar leaving the business," said Rose Punkunus, VP of Procurement at Zone.

"This partnership strengthens the fraud protection built into our procure-to-pay solution by helping teams establish confidence in payment details from the start. Combined with the controls and AI already embedded throughout Zone, we're giving finance teams a faster way to operate while maintaining the oversight they need before money moves."

That protection continues throughout Zone's procure-to-pay solution. ERP-native bill capture, three-way matching, approvals and payments keep financial activity and controls closer to the system of record, reducing system switching and opportunities for errors.

Zoe AP Intelligence Agent adds another layer of protection by helping finance teams identify AP fraud patterns, detect policy breaches and investigate supplier bill variances. Together, Eftsure's payment assurance and Zoe's AI-powered oversight help finance teams identify risk at multiple points in procure-to-pay, without moving critical financial work outside the ERP.

"The future of payment assurance isn't about adding more disconnected tools. It's about building trusted verification into the systems and workflows finance teams already use," said Nick Hughes, SVP, Global Partnerships and Alliances Leader at Eftsure. "Our partnership with Zone brings that approach to life, combining our capabilities to help more organizations move money with greater confidence."

The partnership advances Eftsure's vision of payment integrity from onboarding to payment, giving finance teams a way to verify more of the information behind a payment before money leaves the business. Eftsure is built to work inside the environments finance and AP teams already run. Following Relish joining Eftsure, its capabilities now integrate with more than 35 finance and enterprise platforms.

Partnering with Zone extends that ecosystem further, and Eftsure continues to partner across the industry so finance teams keep the flexibility to choose the technology that suits them.
